Adult Training Opportunities

Training for Adults is offered through the Council. Many courses may be completed on-line while other are offered at various times of the year. Adult leaders who complete their requisite training may wear the "Trained" patch on their uniform.

Assistant Scoutmasters are required to take four training programs: Youth Protection Training, New Leader Essentials, Boy Scout Leader Specific Training, and Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills. Committee members are recommended to take Youth Protection Training, New Leader Essentials, and Committee Specific Training. All adults who directly interact with our scouts, as mentors, merit badge counselors, trek drivers, or service project leaders are required to take Youth Protection Training.
