Circle X Summer Camp 2015

This summer, some of the many scouts in Troop 777 attended the week long Circle X Camp. Scouts got to earn merit badges, learn new scout skills, and make new friends. Here are some of the questions and answers I asked scouts Hans and Ian: While Ian’s favorite activity was doing the Pathfinder Program, Hans’ favorite was playing a game called ‘Foxes and Hounds,’ where scouts would catch up to a staff member and try to guess their nickname. Ian’s favorite day of camp was Thursday because he got his merit badges that day. However Hans liked Friday because that is when he got his merit badges, shot a rifle, and got steak for dinner. Food is a big part of rating how good the camp was and there were some delicious meals. Ian enjoyed all the breakfasts, and Hans mainly enjoyed the croissant sandwiches. Another part of summer camp is the merit badges. Ian’s favorite was the swimming merit badge, while Hans’ was wilderness survival. All in all, Ian and Hans had a great time at Circle X summer camp even though they enjoyed different parts of the week.
