About Troop 777

Our Vision

Troop777, through teamwork among the Scouts, adult leaders and parents, actively provides a quality program emphasizing leadership, self-reliance, self-esteem and recognition. We accomplish this with a focus on a meaningful High Adventure program, community involvement and rank advancement.

Our Values

Foster self reliance and self esteem in the Scout

      • Provide a meaningful High Adventure program
      • Be active in the community
      • Build teamwork (both scout and adults)
      • Promote advancement and recognition
      • Develop and demonstrate leadership (both scout and adult)

Our Troop Structure

Our troop is structured around the Patrol which is formed of up to 15 Scouts of mixed ages. A Scout stays in his same patrol throughout
his time in the troop. Each patrol elects a Patrol Leader and an Assistant Patrol Leader every 6 months in March and September.
Troop 777 currently has seven patrols:  Dragons, Pedro, Pheasants, Stags, Tigers, Vikings, and Wolves.

The troop is led by a Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) who is also elected for a six month term in March and September. The SPL assigns a
scout to fulfill each troop-wide position (Examples: Assistant SPL, Quartermaster, Librarian, Scribe, Historian, Chaplain's Aid, Den Chief,
Troop Guide, and Instructors). Scouts wanting to hold one of these positions make a written request to the elected SPL.

Together with the Patrol Leaders, this group forms the Troop Leadership Council (TLC) who meet monthly to plan troop meetings and
outings with the Scoutmaster. Serving in some capacity on the TLC for 4 to 6 months is an advancement requirement for each of the ranks
above First Class.

Details and current positions are explained in our Troop Organization Chart and in the Troop Roster. These are available electronically, email the scoutmaster for a copy.
