Lower Aqua Caliente

Rating: 7(1-10, 10 being the best)
Reason for rating: This trip was almost all uphill except for some flat parts in the beginning. In the summer it is very hot and dry. However, in the winter, it is cold and a little bit wet. On the plus side, the trip is full of great campsites and you get an amazing view.
Description of trip: You start the trip on the side of highway 78. From there you walk across several gates. There is nothing illegal about doing so because the whole trip is on the popular Pacific Crest Trail. Then you walk into a BBQ area used by the horse trips that run occasionally. There's where your first hills meet you. You climb over a hill to where there is a large field with a creek being one of it's borders. That is an Ideal place to camp but there are others. The whole trip is about 8 miles round trip.
